Justyna Urbanowicz- Jaśniak – Certified Accessibility Coordinator in a commercial building

Posnania was designed along the lines of sustainable development to be a welcoming place for everyone. Proof of this is the title of Accessibility Leader, which was awarded in 2018. In addition to architectural solutions for people with reduced mobility, a quiet room – a solution for sensory overload – has also been introduced. For several years now, Posnania has also been running a training programme for employees on how to care for people with disabilities. Another step towards improving accessibility was the creation of a position responsible for overseeing work related to accessibility. Justyna Urbanowicz-Jaśniak, who works in Posnania’s marketing department, completed a course and became Poland’s first certified accessibility coordinator in a retail building. She was previously responsible for Customer Experience. The certificate entitles her to carry out accessibility audits of buildings, including premises, which provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and assist tenants with issues related to improving accessibility in their showrooms.
